Wordle 206
Use all or some of these words in a poem:
quilts grain heart crows
quilts grain heart crows
escaping open collapse clay
splintered crack crawled bones
The Time Of Her Despair
No longer sure where she fits in,
her world collapses.
She beat down ten thousand hills,
all flat and conquered now.
But new hills have become
But new hills have become
towering mountains
she can't begin to crack.
Splintered by despair,
she can only stare at them.
In her heart she knows
escape is for cowards.
She rejects that which is irrelevant,
waits for the eternal.
waits for the eternal.
She bides her time until
her old bones disperse
into tiny mounds of clay and dust.

Strong picture of despair here. That finale, waiting for her bones to crumble, sort of says it all. Nice use of the Wordle.
While there is despair in your poem, there is also a strong sense of acceptance. I understand that feeling, and love your poem. I'm so pleased that you wrote for the hiatus breaking Whirl, Marianne!!
oh, this is great! very well done.
Sometimes you can't fight the mountain before you. The ending is just plain excellent too
We are all headed to where she is headed: tiny mounds of dust. (At least dust is useful for growing things!)

There are always new challenges ahead. You never really "win", the wheel turns and either you are on top, or the other way around.
Like a path through the forrest! I loved each step.
