LESSON IN NOTHING
A blanket of grayness
gently covers the sky,
pillowy slate clouds
pile up in the morning.
The world holds
The world holds
nothing she wants,
she doesn't believe
she doesn't believe
in illusions.
Nothing to gain,
Nothing to gain,
nothing to lose.
Lesson learned
Lesson learned
the hard way,
she rolls over,
she rolls over,
escapes in sleep.

Marianne, I relate to this completely. We are living in strange and depressing times. Thanks for writing with me.
Love,
Pamela
