Prompt for Day 21
Write a poem about flaws and perfection in yourself or in nature or write about how you feel about being imperfect or perfect.
Evolution of a Rose
A single perfect rose bud,
flawless and unblemished,
unfurls to reveal
a glimpse of unspoiled beauty.
In time, listless and drooping,
diminished by weakness and decline,
there is a flicker of former glory
in the final moldering imperfection.

Roses are beautiful. Aren't they one of nature's greatest?

Indeed there is so much perfection in nature.
Very nicely done! You captured the dialectic in nature, in this case, a rose. (Funny--I almost used the same topic, from a relatively similar perspective, for this prompt.) Anyhow, I'm sure you must be feeling weary--we all are--but it's not showing at all in your poetry. (Nice final line...)
What a beautiful poem, and perfect choice of subject.
