From A Wordling Whirl of Sundays comes another wordle prompt:
tugs * seaweed * released * breathes
slides * water * river * supersedes
evaporation * embroidered * mist * tiny
At The River
Wispy river mist slides ethereally
over night-dark water, a thin veil
embroidered with tiny flickering
fireflies bright as spangling stars.
Whirlpools ripple and swirl along
ancient banks, supersede currents.
A pale spill of silvery fish breathe
just below the surface, tug through
tangles of seaweed, lean against
rocks, creep into holes. Released
from murky dreams, they swim free.
In the morning, fading blue haze
evaporates and a glorious day begins.

Marianne just love your whole blog....this poem is a delight...makes you want to go camping and enjoy the sunrise! :-)
Marianne, this is beautiful. I love that image of the fireflies in the wispy river mist. And I like how you go from nighttime to morning. It has a dream-like quality and yet is so grounded in reality.
