Slow breezes move sultry air
back and forth, back and forth,
white curtains inflate slightly,
brush against screens.
Hot winds lightly graze flushed cheeks,
take her back to long ago June nights.
She remembers old dreams,
the sweet hopes long forgotten,
yearns to relive silky-starred nights,
to be young again, when love was new.
In the hush she hears whispers calling;
so many wishes, so many dreams.
back and forth, back and forth,
white curtains inflate slightly,
brush against screens.
Hot winds lightly graze flushed cheeks,
take her back to long ago June nights.
She remembers old dreams,
the sweet hopes long forgotten,
yearns to relive silky-starred nights,
to be young again, when love was new.
In the hush she hears whispers calling;
so many wishes, so many dreams.
