POW Prompt #1 COLLAGE
Chopped-Up Bits
Pastiche of words and pictures,
tangled truth and fantasy.
Pasted potpourri of
paper poetry gypsies traveling
and telling fortunes.
Collective serendipity,
starkly juxtaposed images
fastened to a proper backing,
on display here, and there.
Collections of bits and pieces,
people places things.
God-forsaken vagabonds,
drifting, diverging, colliding,
forever trapped in this frame.

Lovely alliteration of the paper poetry pot pourri etc. You have captured the mess, untidiness, lack of order but warmth and humanity.
Love this and especially this part:
"God-forsaken vagabonds,
drifting, diverging, colliding,
forever trapped in this frame."

Dead good! Love that word 'serendipity'!!
"Tangled truth and fantasy" just about sums it up. Great poem!
Wonderful, Marianne. We all like something else in this poem. I loved the first word...Pastiche...and so much more, especially the last three lines. Great to read your poetry again!
POW!-erfully captured
love the patterns and movement
