Write A List Poem
List poems can be fun to write. You don't have to rhyme. You don't have to count beats. You only need a topic. Then, you write a list about that topic. You may use single words or phrases. You may add items to the list that are silly or strange. That will make your list poem more interesting!
Signs Of Spring
The garden yawns and
stretches mightily after
a long winter's slumber.
Warm sun coaxes buds
into beautiful blossoms.
Crocus, first flowers, bloom
in delicate shades of mauve.
Daffodils, bright and sunny,
broadcast fair weather.
Glorious lilacs revel
in an excess of purple.
Dainty lily-of-the-valley
bells grace the side yard.
Robins hunting worms follow
beacons of yellow forsythia.
Spring has returned;
the earth is a child again.

Oh, I so look forward to seeing the spring your words have painted here. Your picture is lovely too.
Love lilacs and can't wait for that first scent wafting through an open window. I agree with Pamela, it is difficult to create such easy flow as you have done here with your list poem.
