Poetic Asides Prompt 139

Poetic Asides with Robert Lee Brewer - Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 139
For this week's prompt, write a poem from the perspective of a group of people, other living organisms, or even objects. The key is to make sure it's a group of something. For instance, write a poem from the perspective of runners, sharks, or computers. Yes, poets would work too.

Weeds Triumphant
There's strength in numbers: thistle,
quackgrass, dandelions, clover, duckweed
have managed a take over in the garden,
choked out those silly rainbow-colored flowers,
run rampant through the tomatoes and cucumbers,
sent strong roots deep under the grass, sucked
the nutrients from the fertile soil, strangled
the life from the beauty that waits to bloom.
The invasion is considered a tactical success.
