NaPoWriMo Day 16: Unlikely Alliance

Another NaPoWriMo prompt from a list of 16 prompts at:
Watermark, A Poet's Notebook
Use these three words: salt, pineapple, chrysanthemum

Unlikely Alliance
Salty seas and salty tears,
spiky sweet pineapples,
gaudy chrysanthemum flowers,
no logical connection here,
and yet, I feel sure
these diverse words:
salt, pineapple, chrysanthemum
will come together,
form an alliance,
amalgamate.

You did it! I *might* give this one a try tomorrow. It kept nagging at me yesterday, but nothing came. Clever idea, yours. And yes amalgamation occurs. :)

Unlikely alliances can sometimes produce the most interesting poems!

That's pretty much what poems do, and you write about it so beautifully. Pineapples & chrysanthemums & salt, hmmmm. I'll have to check out those prompts.
