#4. Dreadful Sorry

An early dandelion blooms by the walk,
purple blossoms festoon the lilac hedge.
Birds are flying, little girls in pigtails
dance across the grass,
enchanting moments abound.
Swinging, her skirt sweeps the ground,
toes touch the sky.
Everything's unpredictable these days,
rules don't apply anymore,
and nothing's the same.
She sings about darling Clementine,
poor Clemmie, lost and gone forever,
while the Coronavirus takes over the world.

Very descriptive poem with all the sadness we are experiencing. The beauty of life that seems to be taken away from us. Thanks for writing this Marianne.

Love,
Pammy
